Oct. 2nd, 2004 Keen Eddie - I've watched the whole series on DVD and what a treat. So sad it was canceled. Click on Bruce to see the better quality images. Esssh is it October already. Hope everyone is well. Sept. 3rd , 2004 DND II - Is it really September already? Here's what IMDb states about the film, which the proper title is Dungeons and Dragons II: The Elemental Might. DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS: THE SEQUEL is based upon the highly successful role playing game, DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS. The sequel's adventure tells the story of an evil wizard who steals a black orb which controls a sleeping black dragon. An aspiring sorceress and a decorated warrior are summoned to defend the kingdom as evil forces lay waste. A battle for control of the kingdom unfolds in this classic tale of good vs. evil. Sounds like it'll have more of a LOTR look and feel in keeping up with what people want to see. I'm quite excited to see Bruce back as Dammy! Whoo hoo! After all the first film was about Damodar and Bruce DID carry that film in my opinion! As far as I know there will be a theatrical release for the US and the rest of the world will be getting on DVD! This film takes place 100 years after the first. The movie is a Warner Bros. release produced by Silver Pictures and directed by Jerry Lively. Though this latest movie project shares a villain with the previous D&D movie, it is not intended as a sequel. Representatives of Wizards of the Coast, Inc. have been working closely with the production team in an advisory capacity. Don't forget to get your copy of KEEN EDDIE'S BOXED DVD set on the 7th! He's Back! - The sequel to Dungeons and Dragons is in production. I KNEW Damodar didn't die! He just needed time to recoup for his ravenous revenge! Hellborn will be released on Sept. 21st in the US under the name "Asylum of the Damned". Bana will not be Bond... so there is still a chance for our B-man to covet the three digit number that ALL British men want! 007 Aug 12th , 2004 Nikita - I just learned that the reason Season 2 of Nikita has been pulled off the shelf is because there was a flaw in one of the DVDs. Sadly there are no Jurgen out-takes in this boxed set btw. So if you have spent a good chunk of money on eBay, there is a good chance one of the DVDs is defective. Thank you Char for the info!!! Double-coolness goes out to Char, who noticed I was wearing my DND cap and said she never saw that film and asked me if it was any good. I said that Damodar was the coolest character from the film. Who played him? she asked. Bruce Payne I said. Hmmm, the name sounds familiar what else has he been in? Highlander 4. No haven't seen that. Passenger 57. Mmmmm. No haven't seen that either. Do you watch the TV series Nikita? YES. He played Jurgen in Season 2. Oh he's Hot! Yes. Then she proceeded to tell me about the DVD mishap. I'm only ranting on about this because I am always impressed when I run into people in my daily life (non computer), who know of Bruce Payne on their own fruition. On the BOND front, rumor has it that Eric Bana will be the next Bond. Bruce would have made an ultra-superb Bond. However, I think he would compliment Bana as The Bond Bad Bloke. Mmmmmm yes! I would very much like to see Bruce in a Bond film and it is indeed. Aug 5th , 2004 The Hat Trick - And I'm not referring to a millinery fetish... for those hockey fans you'll know what I mean. A triple treat indeed boys and girls!

Apocalypse March 2nd , 2004 At the Oscars- During the Blake Edwards retrospect, did anyone catch the SWITCH snippet with Ellen Barkin? I thought it was worth a mention since Bruce was also in that film. I think it is quite fantastic that Bruce had a chance to work with such a formidable man. It indeed was very cool to see it amongst the PINK PANTHER bits. I loved Peter Sellers in the Panther films as well had a mad crush on him at the age of 7. The Pink Panther album was the very first addition to my soundtrack collection. Congrats to Penn for winning the gold baldy! Billy Crystal is always a treat to watch. It was a night for New Zealand at the Oscars. In celebration, I think everyone should take a gander at SWITCH! It's a good film. February 6 th , 2004 One Point O review- A sci-fi thriller of uncommon creepiness, "One Point 0" makes inventive use of a low budget, and clever story and a terrific cast. It may also position the directing team of Jeff Renfroe and Matreinn Thorsson as The Next Wachowskis (now that the originals have presumably been put out to pasture for a while). If you've ever felt that corporate advertising is so pervasive these days as to actually be inside your head, then this is the flick for you. The always-excellent Jeremy Sisto plays Simon J, a withdrawn computer programmer who rarely leaves his dank, high-ceilinged old apartment building (the film was shot mainly in Bucharest, and its atmosphere reeks in the best way). But Simon begins to emerge from his geekoid shell when he finds a cardboard box sitting inside his door, opens it, and finds it empty. Then another. And another. The building's denizens, including Udo Kier (always welcome) as a very strange inventor and Lance Henriksen (his liveliest performance in ages) as the resident handyman, know nothing about these odd deliveries. The requisite mystery woman (sultry, moody Deborah Kara Unger) may hold the clue, or may not. But as the story tightens and the paranoia escalates, the one thing that will keep playing through the viewer's mind is "Don't drink the milk!" Suffice it to say that whatever nameless, faceless corporation is sunning the show in the world of "One Point 0," they've found a nanorrific new way to hook you on your favorite product, be it Nature Fresh milk, Cola 500 pop or Farm Cut meat. And Sisto's increasing desperation to look without for an answer gives the film its dramatic soul; problem is, the answer is a lot closer that he thinks. "One Point 0" certainly wins few points for originality, but it's the sources that matter. This rocking melange of "The Matrix," "The Game," "Brazil" and Philip K. Dick at his most cynical is one of the strongest works of true sci-fi to come along in years. You'll never look at a carton of milk the same way again... January 15th , 2004 One Point O- There are two new photos of Bruce from O Point O! Click here to view. January 8th , 2004 One Point O- Check out the Exclusive Photos given to AGWLBP so that everyone can have a sneak peek of the film. There should be a few of Bruce heading my way shortly. It looks quite THRILLING. I am looking forward to this one indeed! Many Many Thanks! You can catch One Point O at the Sundance Festival this month. Also, keep an eye out for it sometime in the near future. Udo Kier is in this film as well.... tres cool! CHECK OUT THE ONE POINT O PAGE! Happy New Year to Everyone! January 6th , 2004 One Point O- Here's what the Sundance Festival says about One Point O: A Kafka-esque nightmare set in the not-too-distant future, One Point O is that rare film that manages to merge a highly stylized visual sense with an intellectually stimulating narrative. Computer programmer Simon J.(Jeremy Sisto) wakes one morning to find a plain brown package in his apartment. He unwraps it, but nothing is inside. Despite attempts to secure his apartment, the mysterious packages keep appearing. While security cameras watch his every move, Simon becomes increasingly paranoid and suspicious of all the tenants in his building. When one of them turns up dead, Simon is pushed even closer to the edge: He is plagued by hallucinations--and a craving for milk. Frantically, he searches for answers about the mysterious forces taking over his life. By blending the ordinary and the bizarre, social reality and private truth, One Point O creates a surreal mise-en-scène that transports the audience into the mental landscape of its sympathetic but disturbed protagonist. Amplifying the feverish world with an intensely dripping palette of reds and greens, codirectors Jeff Renfroe and Marteinn Thorsson draw incredibly nuanced performances from a splendidly eclectic cast. One Point O is a deliciously scathing indictment of corporate power that creates an eerily familiar world where moral choice and free will are replaced by forced consumption. — Trevor Groth Apocalypse- I hope the few people that I taped this film for enjoyed it better than I. |
