I don't know when HELLBORN will be released in the US. As far as I know it's only been released in Europe. As soon as I have news as to the US release I will post it in the news section.

I've recorded a few snippets from the film. I hope you enjoy Bruce's voice in this one as he is very calm and relaxed with his speech. His true voice I would presume. It's always fun trying to figure out what he really sounds like. The man has many voices in his work.

I've also deliberately kept out a good chunk of the film from my photos. I will wait until it's been released in the US before I add more. I do not wish to take away from Phil's vision and will keep the mystery. I had the pleasure of reading the script last year and awaited patiently to view Phil's film. Sadly, Phil passed away earlier this year which made it hard for me to watch.

Phil truly had a unique sense of wit and when you watch this film, there is a humorous twist to it. However, if you don't pay attention you may miss it. I highly suggest you rent or buy his other film called Backflash, to grasp Phil's humour. I thought that film was quite funny. With Hellborn, there are many psychological moral levels to it which makes it a thinking film. Think about the title, Hellborn. Add an asylum for the criminally insane, where the patients mysteriously disappear... Is it ethical to care about the people who were born of an evil mind and commit heinous crimes only to be placed in a medicated depressing space within a humanless hospital? What more, is it moral to have criminally insane patients brought to justice for their evil? It's how that justice is served which brings up many moral debates. Watch this film with a group of friends and remember to have tons of coffee for the debate after the film.

Bruce has the main credit for this film, which is the way he should always be credited in my mind. I think Bruce managed to bring into Dr. McCourt's character his unique je ne sais quoi of Bruceness. Tres Bien Monsieur Payne! Very well done indeed.

One thing to point out, Dr. McCourt wrote a psychological book in this film, similar to that of his character, Martin Kane , in Ripper. However, I couldn't catch what the topic of this book was. Obviously for Ripper, is was on serial killers.
